Emma Curtis, LMFT
She / Her
Psychotherapist
“
As a psychotherapist, I believe healing is guided by reconnecting with an inner presence that is compassionate, curious, and inherently whole. In our work together, I support clients in clearing the path to this inner wisdom by helping them shift from self-criticism toward a more nurturing and understanding inner dialogue.

Emma Curtis is a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and groups through an integrative, trauma-informed lens. Drawing from family systems theory, she recognizes that healing often takes place within the context of relationships. When appropriate, Emma offers clients the option to include significant others—such as partners, family members, or roommates—in sessions to support the therapeutic process.
With over 1,500 hours of experience treating eating disorders and more than four years of practice as a psychotherapist, Emma brings a deep understanding of how disordered eating, anxiety, and depression are often rooted in rigid thought patterns, perfectionism, and early relational dynamics. Her approach blends insight-oriented exploration with practical tools, helping clients uncover the underlying origins of emotional distress while also building concrete skills for coping and self-regulation.
She integrates mindfulness and somatic-based practices to help clients access the wisdom of the body, deepen emotional awareness, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Emma also offers Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy as a supportive adjunct for clients struggling with eating disorders and other conditions marked by cognitive rigidity or a persistent sense of being stuck. She views the medicine experience as a powerful opportunity to access deeper insight, loosen entrenched patterns, and enhance the overall healing process.
At the heart of her work is a belief in each person’s innate capacity to heal when met with safety, curiosity, and connection.
Emma is currently awaiting approval of her New York licensure and is unable to accept psychotherapy clients until the license is granted. She expects to receive her license between late May and June. In the meantime, she is accepting clients for recovery coaching—providing practical skills, structure, and guidance for those navigating the path of recovery. She is also building a waitlist for individuals interested in beginning psychotherapy and/or Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy with her once she is fully licensed.
