Emily Hackenburg, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy and integrative psychiatry, and a founding member of NYIP. She earned her BSN from Binghamton University, completed her MSN at the College of New Rochelle, and graduated with honors from a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in December 2025. She is expected to be dual board certified in February 2026. Her training includes the California Institute of Integral Studies, the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, and MAPS. In 2020, she served as a clinical lead in opening Field Trip Health’s NYC office, helping develop ketamine protocols and clinician training.

Emily specializes in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and integrative mental health care for depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Her work integrates evidence-based psychiatry with somatic and contemplative practices, including sound, meditation, and mythopoetic approaches. She views ketamine as both a medication and a catalyst for transformation, emphasizing intentional preparation, set, and integration. With over three years facilitating KAP groups, she is deeply committed to group-based healing and expanding access to care. Her approach is trauma-informed and relational, drawing from ACT, integrative medicine, somatic practices and the neuroscience of trauma.
